With a population of 11,854 (as per 2016 census) and the high volume of visitors coming and going each day, parking in Whistler can often be a challenge. If this is your first trip to Whistler, you'll want to make sure that you are prepared and equipped with information that will help you in having a smooth and hassle-free experience.

CREEKSIDE PARKING (south end)

Whistler Creekside is the original village of Whistler and is located about 4.7 km from the current Whistler Village Center. Those who are renting or coming to ski in the area access Whistler mountain via the Creekside gondola. The best place to park is at the underground multi-level parkade located only steps away from the Creekside gondola base.

  • Free for those with ski/ sightseeing/bike passes
  • Park at the upper level for overnight & short term stays
  • There are 20 accessible parking spots
  • Sleeping or camping in vehicles is not permitted to help reduce wildlife attractants in parking lots and to protect Whistler's bears.

WHISTLER VILLAGE PARKING (village center)

All-Year-Around Information

There are 5 major day lots (1 - 5) available in the Whistler Village Center, which is only a five to ten-minute walk from the Village Gondolas base or the Upper Village. These are your best option if you are in Whistler for skiing, shopping, Farmer's market, village stroll walks etc. Day lots #1, 2 & 3 are always at extra cost and day lots #4 & 5 are free in between April 16th - June 14th. The maximum stay per any lot is 24 hrs.

  • Overnight parking is not allowed at any of these lots between Nov 1st - Mar 31st for snow clearing (very strict)
  • You can pay via coins or credit cards at one of the onsite  pay machines (also via the paybyphone app)
  • Sleeping or camping in vehicles is not permitted to help reduce wildlife attractants in parking lots and to protect Whistler's bears.
  • RVs & oversize vehicles can park in day lot 3 in marked bays only

Winter Only Information

Those who are coming to ski or to have fun at the Coca Cola Tube Park, can also park for free at day lots # 6, 7 & 8, located at Blackcomb Base No.2, a short 7 min drive from the main village center.
