It's never too early to start thinking about winter in Whistler! We've had a beautiful September in Whistler and the forecast for the next 10 days shows sunny with temperatures in the 15-20 celcius range. But we all know that the weather can change quickly, and we have a feeling that winter is just around the corner. The best way to prepare for the upcoming ski and snowboard season at Whistler Blackcomb is to head to the annual Turkey Sale October 5 -8, 2012.

The Turkey Sale is a favorite each year among locals and Whistler visitors. The Whistler Turkey sale offers pre-season discounts on a wide range of ski and snowboard gear, all under one roof at the Blackcomb Daylodge. Browse the latest and greatest in skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, outerwear, and accessories. The Turkey Sale kicks off on Friday, October 5 at noon for locals and Whistler season pass holders. The sale continues through the weekend from 9am to 6pm, and Monday, October 8 from 9am to 5pm.

To make the weekend deals even sweeter, head to the Whistler Mountain Ski & Board Shop to browse quality pre-owned equipement plus an assortment of clothing and gear from Whistler local retailers, all under the "big tent" at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. This is a great way to get everything you need for the upcoming winter season, and share a little ski stoke with local businesses and friends.

Opening day at Whistler is only 50 days away!
