The place was nice and clean and the location and pools were great no noise from the village at night. The stove and oven are a bit wonky and the unit could do with a fresh coat of paint. But we would stay here again. Cheers

Enjoyed our stay! 549 accommodated our family members very well. It is conveniently located to the hot tubs and pool and is very quiet! Beds were super comfy and my wife liked the pillows. The view of the mountain is obscured somewhat by the lovely tall pines with some glimpses of the hill in behind. Staff at the front desk and at the ski velet are very friendly and helpful!

Superb location! Top floor was quiet. Beautiful protected view through the evergreens with glimpses of the gondola. Grill was in great shape. It was ideal for us and our 3 large boys. We would stay here again. Things to know: park near the East Tower elevator. Things to fix: only 2 of 4 toaster slots worked and those 2 were temperamental at best. Things I wish the condo included: Soup bowls, stereo, garbage bags that fit the kitchen container. Things I would bring next time: spices (only S&P in the condo), bar soap, bluetooth speaker, kleenex, kitchen scrubby, ziplocs, scissors.

We had a lovely stay. The location was perfect for us. The condo is also great. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were as described. We found the couches in the living room a bit uncomfortable and the AC in the master bedroom, while EXTREMELY helpful, made it difficult to keep the room dark since it vents out the window. Overall, we would come back.

Pool was under maintenance, but hot hub was big! About 15 minute walk to main village. Building is a bit old, warm inside and in the hallways and it's not even summer yet! The bunk and queen bed is great combo. Kitchen is tight, but useable.Kate was awesome! She helped me so much! Thank you Kate!

A group of 6 friends stayed here for the weekend to ski and had a great time! All the essentials are in the room that you would need to cook and feel at home. The beds were very comfortable and also the room felt very cozy. Having a ski rental inside the hotel is a plus as well as the vending machines with eggs and other random foods for last minute breakfast sandwich making! We also really enjoyed the hot-tub, just wish both were open!

Great ski weekend

Basically on top of the new blackcomb gondola. The condo was clean and comfortable. We loved the communal hot tubs for some post mountain muscle recovery. Would definitely stay here again.

Good but could do with some simple things

Great setup including location etc. Unit 549 is lovely but needs a little TLC. One of the chairs is broken and if you want to cook the kitchen is a bit under-stocked eg. just a baking tray to put a pizza in the oven would be nice! and a few more tea/coffee mugs and teaspoons wouldn't go astray.

It was our first time at the Aspens and we loved it! The service was amazing, specially the ski equipment valet. The location of the apartments is unbelievable, truly ski in ski out! We will definitely return and recommend to others. The 549 unit was very comfortable and cozy.

We had a great time at the Aspens; shared facilities (hot tub) were great, as was the location. The unit was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. It definitely felt like home for the weekend.

Great location! Only a couple minute walk to upper village, and 12 minute walk to lower village. Check in extremely easy with door code received in advance. Only wish they did not charge for parking. This is an unnecessary expense. Overall, great experience!

The unit we rented was renovated, very clean and had everything we needed. It was private at the back with trees. Walking to the village can be a challenge if you take the shortcut.

We were a group of 5 staying in Aspens 549. There was more than enough space for all of us to feel comfortable. All of the amenities were excellent! We made great use of the kitchen and loved having a BBQ on the balcony. The location is nice and quite, and yet not too far away from the Blackcomb stroll and the Whistler main village. The suite was very clean and in great condition. The folks at the main desk and reception were wonderful as well. We made use of the pool and hot tub as well. I guess I can't say enough good things about this place!

Great little condo with a few major drawbacks

The positives: location is terrific! Easy ski in/out near Blackcomb base. Quick walk to shuttle. We chose a top floor unit so we didn't have to listen to ski boots stomping overhead. This was probably the best sleep I've had at a ski condo. Kitchen was sufficient for making a few nice dinners, outdoor hot tub was wonderful, laundry facilities were appreciated. Ski valet is handy, and there's a rack outside we could use to tune our skis. The drawbacks: I don't expect full housekeeping service at a condo, but I do expect something (clean towels/trash removal). If you stay here, be prepared for zero housekeeping. You will have to take your own trash into a huge stinky room outside in the cold, and have to use a giant industrial trash compactor. For what we were paying, this was unreasonable. Be aware that although the unit technically sleeps 8, it won't really work. Sure, there are places for the bodies to fit for sleep, but not the bags/gear. 4 of us felt pretty cozy. Somehow there are only 7 chairs at the dinner table, and couch space for 5 people max. Maintenance issues: fireplace broken (repaired quickly, new thermostat), grill had no gas, disposal broke our last day, phone was dead (they told us owner didn't pay the bill and they couldn't fix it). For international guests, a land line is critical, and this is probably a violation of hotel safety laws.

As for your comment about the garbage, we would like to clarify that Aspens lodge is not a hotel as all of the suites are privately owned and professionally managed by a number of property management companies, including Blackcomb Peaks Accommodations. For this reasons, many services that you would expect in a typical hotel are not offered, unfortunately. We encourage guests to always inquire about the details and services offered for the rental home of their choice before they book - to avoid confusion and disappointments. Guest satisfaction is truly our top priority and it is always our intention to offer homes that best match guest expectations. Even if it means referring guests to our Whistler colleagues when we are unable to offer what is asked for. As for the telephone and BBQ, this home actually does not come with a land line but we have other Aspens suites that do (private owners have different phone contracts). Once again, guests can find out full details either on our site or by speaking with one of our Blackcomb Peaks agents (not 3rd parties). With regards to the BBQs, we have spare tanks on site and we are always happy to replace them once guests run out of gas. Our unit binders list our toll free and other information to have this arranged. In conclusion, we are happy to know that our maintenance team was able to address the fireplace issue quickly and we are very sorry about the inconvenience. Thank you also for pointing out the dining chair situation, our property manager will address that promptly. Once again, we value your feedback and hope that you would come back again. We really enjoyed our week at room #549. We had a few things that weren't working (hairdryer, gas fireplace, coffee pot), but maintenance was very responsive. Ht tubs were pretty crowded, and one was not working part of the time, so additional hot tubs would be useful. Friendly staff, comfortable surroundings. Would definitely return.

the aspens has one of the best outdoor pools of any complex in whistler. it is a short walk to the centre of the village and the underground parking is half the price of the major hotels. the unit was very clean and has all the kitchen accessories u will need complete with outdoor barbecue. I have stayed at the aspens many times and would say that unit 549 is amoungst the best units in the complex. u will not be disappointed with this unit

We had 11 nights in unit #549 at Aspens over Christmas. Despite the snow being a little lacking for much of our stay, we had a fantastic time. The unit was in a great location, very comfortable and in great condition. It is hard to beat staying right on the slopes and being able drop the kids off at ski school in a few mins, and hit the slpes and then ski in the back door after a hard day! Roy and Jamie from Blackcomb Peaks were a great help and made sure we were fully set up for our stay. We highly recommend it!

We had a great 2 bedroom renovated condo which is on the Blackcomb side. Unlike the busy whistler side you can truly ski up to the condo main property and "pop" your skis off and give them to the valet. Unlike walking in the whistler village with ski boots and skis. Hot tubs were great on property and kitchen was big enough for a super bowl chill dinner for a family of 4. We have 2 boys 10 and 12. Plenty of room and here second time back. We will be back again, best value and comfort for true skiiers to maximize time on mountain. Easy walk to whistler village. Liquor store base of Blackcomb. Please note, no housekeeping for the week so you need to take out your own garbage. Not a big deal as we we skiing most of the day. Lesson for kids was crazy easy as the Blackcomb ski school is at the base. Other condo properties are further up the hill which would be a pain to walk up if you goout at night, those are not practical. I would only stay at Aspens for the amazing location. We will be booking for 2018 season in a few days. Great for young families and older skiiers who want the convinence and not want to lug ski equipment through the village. Quiet at night. Recommended for early risers to hit the slops first.

The unit is located beside easy access to upper village and a short walk to lower. Great pool and hot tubs and friendly staff. Bedrooms were nice and the unit is well kept. But for a few issues that management is promptly taking care of we had a great stay and look forward to returning, Management is very interested in making your stay the best it can be. :)

When we arrived to the Aspens we were very pleased to see how spacious the apartment was! There was 6 of us and there was still plenty of room to hangout. The deck was very nice, the only two things were that the BBQ hadn't had some TLC in quite some time so when we turned it on it made a lot of smoke and there were little rat droppings on the seats. We had one friend sleep on the pull out/open sofa and he mentioned that it was very stiff. The rooms were clean, and larger than we expected. The only one downside that was significant enough to mention was the lady at the desk for Resort Quest (I believe it was called) she was not very helpful when we needed help finding the Blackcombs Office for the rental and was rude when we asked for help with parking. Other than that, we haven't stopped talking about going back and can't wait to rent this space again in the near future! Recommended by all 6 of us :)

The condo was fairly clean and had a well stocked kitchen as well as a proper amount of towels for the number of guest it can hold. The hot tub and pool areas were also really nice however the gym was lacking any sort of equipment (only had eliptical trainers). The property management team was very helpful and cateried to our every need. The bike lock up was a little dissapointing (not very secure) and the front desk didn't have vallet bike service which was offered on the website, but in the end it turned out not to be a big deal anyway. Its a longer walk to the village than expected (around 15 minutes) which would be beutiful if it wasn't raining our entire trip. Overall I would rate this property as a 4/5. Everybody should be able to make their stay enjoyable with #549 at the Aspens.

We stayed for a week with our three children. It was a nice unit and really liked that it had air conditioning and smart tvs. The only cons were that the fridge was in rough shape (missing some shelves, cracks inside here and there and the doors of the fridge would not close without putting a pan underneath the fridge to level it). As well, the blow dryer in the ensuite did not work, and when it did, would shut off after 5 seconds or so. I was not sure if we were suppose to have the house cleaner come in one time during the week, as our unit was not cleaned again after we checked in. This was not a big deal though. Eve, the Manager, was really nice and we would definitely stay there again!

Over all, a very good experience. Unfortunately the stove and the BBQ where not in working condition. We had good help from the management company representatives but we ended up having to discard food and had to eat at restaurants more often than anticipated. Location was perfect and the unit was clean.

Aspens 549 was a very clean and comfortable property. Close to the stores and restaurants on the blackcomb side with a 5 minutes walk to the village. We chose this unit because of the extra bed in the spare room, so you could sleep 6 without having to set up a pull out couch. The only negative comment I have is having to pay an additional $15 per day for parking. Not sure why this is not included as part of the rental price.

It was our family's first ever trip to Whistler. We had the best time! The condo was so clean and well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable (better then my bed at home). We can't say enough good things about our stay. Looking forward to coming back hopefully next year.

Spent only a Friday Night there for the Tough Mudder - needed a place for my team (7 of us) to crash, and ended up at short notice. The agent I booked through was very helpful, and it was a simple process. We didn't spend too much time in the suite, but it served us well for the night, everyone had a place to sleep. -A

Great location for our weekend while in Whistler for Tough Mudder. Close to amenities, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the village. Suite is clean and has a great layout.

We had an enjoyable and easy stay at The Aspens. Our two-bedroom rental had a mountain view and we found it to be clean, bright and spacious. Being a family of five, this suite was the perfect size for us. When we arrived, our rental was super clean and in great shape. Also, we loved the fact that our pre-ordered ski passes were available in our rental when we arrived. Whenever we had a question about our rental or services, the management staff was very accommodating and helpful. The location is literally right beside the slopes. All you have to do is walk out the side of the building, pick up your skis from the ski valet and ski down to the chair lifts. We would definitely stay at The Aspens again!

This unit is well situated. It is basic as far as furnishings but adequate for a ski vacation. A better equipped kitchen would be nice. Also the TV 's in the unit are very small and of poor quality. Still well located and very convenient for skiing Whistler Blackcomb.

This was our second time in Whistler staying at Aspens #549 and I must say it was excellent. The unit is well maintained and issues from our last stay had been looked after and maintenance was excellent to quickly fix those "they just happen" issues. Although cozy with the 8 people we had it was never feeling cramped. The facilities were great as well. Only downside is the requirement to pay for parking.

We enjoyed your suite. The beds were excellent!! We happened to be in Whistler when it was very hot, so our suite was hot as well. I am sure it was built with the ski season in mind, but it would have been nice to have air conditioning.

Aspens is a very large busy condo complex. The condo was very nice but a tight small kitchen is not ideal. The Glacier Lodge much better suited my family's needs in the past with much larger condo's and way less people in a better location at close to the same price. The Aspen's try was ok but we will go back to what we know and love at the Glacier Lodge next summer

The condos were as advertised and as expected except that one condo didn't have a pull-out couch as I had been told by the person I spoke to at the property management company. When we got to the condo there was an inventory list that also indicated there was a pull-out couch so I don't think it was the employee's fault that she gave me the wrong information. We were compensated for the mistake by the property management company. The rental experience left me dissatisfied however, when the pool was closed in the middle of our stay. We were in Whistler during a heat wave and had planned to spend the day at the pool after a couple hectic days in the heat. First we were given incorrect information about when the pool would be reopened and wasted half a day before the staff finally admitted the pool would not be opening until 2pm. (The pool was actually opened at 3pm) I spoke to Roy Blackcomb Peaks Accommodation) and asked for his help to find an alternative pool for us to go to. We had 5 children 7 and under in our group and were desperate for a way to keep them entertained and cool in 30 plus degree weather. He was unwilling to do anything to make up for the closed pool and said it was not his fault. He actually blamed the guests because they did not rinse off their sunscreen before swimming. I pointed out it is unrealistic to expect people to remove their sunscreen before swimming in an outdoor pool. People regularly swim in outdoor pools with sunscreen on and it doesn't cause the pool to be closed down. The staff should have been monitoring the pool more closely to ensure the levels were safe for swimming. Because of Roy's unwillingness to provide the customer service I expect, I will not be renting at The Aspens again, nor will I use Blackcomb Peaks Accommodations the next time I come to Whistler.
