Seaplanes on Green Lake

Whistler Lakes

Green Lake is probably most well known for its stunning turquoise/green color, but it is also the largest lake in the Whistler area. North of Whistler Village, Green Lake is a quick 5 minute drive from the Aspens Condos, or a 1 to 1.5 hour bike ride on the Whistler Valley Trail depending on whether you make stops along the way.

Several seaplane companies, Harbour Air, Westcoast Air, and Whistler Air, offer Vancouver to Whistler transportation, landing right in Green Lake. There are also scheduled scenic seaplane tours that depart at 10am, 12:45pm, 4pm, and 6pm daily in the summer.

Table Nineteen at the Nicklaus North Golf Course offers one of the best patios around and it overlooks Green Lake. Enjoy a meal or a cocktail (or both) and watch the seaplanes land. If you're looking for a relaxing way to get out on the lake, you can rent a canoe, kayak or paddleboard from the Boat Launch and explore on your own. You can actually paddle from Alta Lake to Green Lake on the River of Golden Dreams (yes that really is the name of it) - add this to your bucket list. This large glacier-fed lake is also a popular spot for wakeboarding and water skiing.

Visitors will find picnic tables along the shore of the lake, perfect for enjoying a packed lunch or simply taking in the views. Enjoy!
