The Whistler Children’s Festival is Whistler’s longest-running festival. The Festival has grown with the community to provide a dynamic and unique cultural experience for both residents and visiting families. The goal of the Festival is to foster youth engagement through experiential learning. There are opportunities to introduce children and youth to a variety of creative workshops, which are taught by practicing local and BC artists.

Whistler Children's Festival

Over the Victoria Day Long Weekend, the Maury Young Arts Centre in the heart of Whistler Village comes alive with 8 showstopping theatre performances and 13 hands-on creative workshops. Highlights include Yuki the Juggler, an award-winning Japanese Canadian circus performer, and Orbax and Pepper bringing their own unique blend of weird, mad science all the way from Toronto.

Plus, enjoy free activities every day of the festival, from roving street entertainment to Kids Karaoke and Stories on Wheels. New this year, the Bratz Biz Youth Market takes over Whistler Olympic Plaza, featuring one-of-a-kind crafts made by young local entrepreneur.

A large number of paid creative workshops will also be available. In previous years these have included: Art Bots, Backyard Birdhouses, Dreamcatchers, The Art of Magic and more.
