The Whistler Children’s Festival is Whistler’s longest-running family festival in the region. The Festival has grown with the community to provide a dynamic and unique cultural experience for both residents and visiting families. The goal of the Festival is to foster youth engagement through experiential learning. There are opportunities to introduce children and youth to a variety of creative workshops, which are taught by practicing local and BC artists.

The Festival also features several free activities that include various community groups and businesses, as well as a diverse array of live performances, demonstrations, and hands-on activities for children and families. The Festival attracts family visitors to Whistler each year and is regarded as an authentic event that reflects the true spirit of Whistler.

Tents, stages, and circus acts populate the Great Lawn at Whistler Olympic Plaza for the annual Whistler Children’s Festival. Families are encouraged to participate in this weekend of creativity with dozens of workshops, live musical performances, and a myriad of activities designed to spark the imagination.

A large number of paid creative workshops will also be available, in previous years these have included: Art Bots, Backyard Birdhouses, Dreamcatchers, The Art of Magic and more.
